About

Kat Stewart is a qualified practitioner in nutritional medicine, Western herbal medicine, and health promotion, bringing together evidence-based knowledge with a deeply human approach to care. Her work is informed not only by formal training, but by lived experience—having navigated autoimmune illness and complex health challenges from a young age, she understands firsthand the realities of supporting the body through change.

This personal insight shapes the way Kat works: with compassion, curiosity, and respect for each individual’s story. She takes a broad, relational view of wellbeing, thoughtfully considering how environment, systems, and daily life influence health, while supporting practical, empowering changes that help people show up in the world as they wish to.

Guided by values of authenticity, playfulness and connection, Kat creates spaces that feel grounded, supportive, and real.

Outside of her professional work, Kat can usually be found paddle boarding on the river, walking her dog, or getting her hands muddy in the pottery studio. She believes in keeping things real and balanced, so also occasionally loves a glass of nice wine and shared hot chips with friends.

Fern — Fostering everyday real nourishment draws inspiration from the quiet strength of the fern—an ancient plant that thrives through steady nourishment, deep connection, and care for the whole ecosystem.

Blending her expertise in nutrition and accessible, delicious cooking with her experience as a naturopath and health promotion professional, Kat brings a grounded, holistic approach to wellbeing. Her work is rooted in community, connection, and the belief that true health grows from food, herbs, and everyday living—deeply connected to place, people, and the environment.

If you’re seeking empowering, nourishment-focused, and down-to-earth guidance that is kind to both you and the planet, explore the services available or reach out to Kat to see how she can support your goals.

Ethos

Nourishment as Gentle Unfolding

Inspired by the unfurling fern frond, Kat approaches wellbeing as something that emerges gradually through understanding, education, and consistent support. Food, herbs, and everyday practices are offered as steady companions, supporting growth from within and empowering choice.

Ecological & Relational Care

Health does not exist in isolation, but within a web of relationships between body, food, community, and environment. Like ferns that thrive through interdependence with soil, moisture, and shelter, Kat’s services honour wellbeing as something shaped by context, systems, and connection.

Sustainable, Enduring Wellbeing

Ferns are among the oldest plants on Earth, enduring vast ecological change through steady nourishment rather than force. In the same way, Kat’s consultations and workshops support gradual, sustainable shifts that respect the body’s innate capacity to rebalance, rather than relying on quick fixes..

  • "I'd been to many naturopaths and GP's but working with Kat finally got to the root cause of my skin issues. I couldn't recommend her more highly."
